Seqens and LabPlus: collecting and communicating information in real time
Seqens is a world leader in pharmaceutical solutions and specialty ingredients. With over 3,200 employees at 24 production sites and 10 R&D centers in Europe, North America and Asia, Seqens offers a wide range of services, from the development and production of pharmaceutical ingredients to the manufacture of complex chemical solutions. Until 2023, Seqens had a site in Quebec specialized in the manufacture of polymers for the microelectronics market.
What challenges or issues did Seqens face prior to this project?
How has LabPlus helped solve these challenges?
To this end, LabPlus has been deployed in the Quality Control laboratory, a strategic department.
LabPlus centralizes data from all the laboratory's analytical equipment and presents them in real time via a single interface.
Sébastien Taillemite, VP Seqens Advanced Specialties, explains: “The various departments can now view the priorities set, the progress of Quality Control analyses (finished products, raw materials, In-Process) and track the status of batch release. Date management (entry of samples into the laboratory, target and actual batch release dates) is simplified and enables effective measurement of department performance.”
What results have been observed since the implementation of LabPlus?
Communication between the site's departments has been simplified thanks to LabPlus. Its dashboard, accessible to all, displays information in real time, leading to a marked improvement in laboratory performance.
