The IRSST Laboratories offer environmental, toxicological and microbiological analysis services for occupational health and safety (OHS) prevention activities.<\/em><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-e7ceec4 e-flex e-con-boxed e-con e-parent\" data-id=\"e7ceec4\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"e-con-inner\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-33999e5 exad-sticky-section-no exad-glass-effect-no elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"33999e5\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h3 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">What were the challenges or issues faced by the IRSST prior to this project? <\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-3984a61 elementor-widget__width-initial exad-sticky-section-no exad-glass-effect-no elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"3984a61\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Prior to the project, the IRSST was facing a number of challenges related to laboratory data management in its five departments. Decentralized information management was leading to inefficiencies, a lack of coordination and a slowdown in productivity.\u00a0<\/p><p>The organization was faced with issues such as system usability, report management, sample analysis and quality control. Data security was also a crucial issue in an occupational health and safety research context.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-0227b2e e-flex e-con-boxed e-con e-parent\" data-id=\"0227b2e\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"e-con-inner\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-d5e120b exad-sticky-section-no exad-glass-effect-no elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"d5e120b\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h3 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">How has LabPlus helped solve these challenges?<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-d0a0ea0 elementor-widget__width-initial exad-sticky-section-no exad-glass-effect-no elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"d0a0ea0\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>LabPlus has been deployed in all five IRSST departments to centralize the management of laboratory information.\u00a0<span style=\"color: var( --e-global-color-text ); font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif; font-size: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-size ); font-weight: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-weight ); text-align: var(--text-align);\">Its flexibility meant that it could be configured to suit specific requirements.<\/span><\/p><p>The system helped to automate processes, improving the efficiency and speed of sample management, from receipt to final analysis. The interfacing of multiple laboratory instruments was configured to facilitate automatic data transfer and reduce human error. Process automation has increased productivity and reduced sample processing time. The centralization of information has enabled better coordination between departments, facilitating data analysis and interpretation. Reports and dashboards enabled more precise monitoring of operations.
